Nestled just minutes away from the magic of Disney and Universal Studios Orlando, OrlandoShortTerm.com started with a dream to provide unforgettable short-term rental experiences for families and travelers.
Our journey began in 2010 in an interesting way. Valentina was invited for a job interview with a brand-new vacation rental company about to open its office in Kissimmee. Although the interview was very successful, the investors did not hire Valentina. Out of over 40 applicants, they liked only two candidates: Valentina and Kate. However, since Valentina did not have a real estate license then, they hired Kate. Valentina maintained a relationship with one of the investors, Igor, and his wife, by teaching them English. During one lesson, Igor asked Valentina if she could help with some website content creation for their new office. Valentina agreed, and from that moment, she played a significant role in helping the company grow. Her efforts impressed the team so much that they invited her to become the Guest Service Manager, and later, the Operations Manager of 7 Heaven Vacation.
Valentina started by managing just 13 properties and their reservations, building everything from scratch—setting up channels, attracting the first guests, building logistics, and hiring people. Under her leadership, the company grew multiple times. While 7HeavenVacation.com thrived, Kate became Valentina’s best friend and Igor a business partner in Valentina’s other entrepreneurial endeavors. To learn more about Valentina, click here.
In 2018, when the investors decided to exit the U.S. market, Valentina seized the opportunity to purchase the company, marking the birth of Orlando Short Term Rentals. A pivotal moment was Angie coming on board. Angie, initially part of the back office managing housekeeping, excelled in her role. In hospitality, cleaning is everything, and Angie built, developed, and managed an amazing team that shared the company’s customer service values and standards. When an opening arose, Angie took over guest service management and was later promoted to Operations Manager. Angie doubled the management portfolio with her determination and passion, keeping her team members happy (some for 14 years), earning homeowners’ trust, and ensuring guests kept returning. Over our 14-year history, we have accumulated a wealth of experience through both failures and successes. Regardless of how hard it was, we never stopped; we always believed there was a solution. We kept looking, surviving real estate ups and downs plus COVID. Our beautiful guests, homeowners, and team members believed in us and kept us going.
